The extended route
Four days north, past where the day boats turn around
The 3D2N covers the park’s headline stops. The 4D3N buys the north: the Gili Lawa anchorages, the current-swept pinnacles that divers fly in for, and enough slack in the schedule to sit still somewhere for an afternoon.
Whole-boat charter over four days and three nights is USD 14,000.
Day by day
Four days, three anchorages
01Day one
Out and settled
Board before lunch, run out past Kelor, and take the afternoon slowly — a first snorkel at Manjarite and an early anchorage while everyone finds their feet.
- Labuan Bajo
- Kelor
- Manjarite
02Day two
Padar and the dragons
The standard morning: the ridge before sunrise, breakfast on board, a ranger walk on Komodo or Rinca, then Pink Beach while the light is still good.
- Padar Island
- Komodo or Rinca
- Pink Beach
03Day three
North to the pinnacles
The day the extra night pays for: north to the Gili Lawa anchorages and the current sites around Batu Bolong. Divers get tanks; snorkellers get the shallow shoulders of the same reefs.
- Gili Lawa
- Batu Bolong
- Northern anchorage
04Day four
Mantas, sandbar, home
Manta Point on the morning tide, Taka Makassar if the sandbar is walkable, then the run back into Labuan Bajo for afternoon flights.
- Manta Point
- Taka Makassar
- Labuan Bajo

The difference
What the fourth day actually buys
Distance. The northern sites are far enough from Labuan Bajo that a three-day boat cannot reach them and still make the flights, which is why they stay quiet.
And time. On the 3D2N every stop is scheduled against the next one. On the 4D3N you can stay in the water at a site that is working, or sit out a squall without losing the day.

Before you book
About the 4D3N
Is it worth the extra day over the 3D2N?
If you dive, or if you want the park without a stopwatch on it, yes. If Padar and the dragons are the whole list, the 3D2N covers them.
Can we dive on this route?
Yes, with a dive package arranged at booking. The northern pinnacles are the reason most divers take this itinerary.
Does the route ever change?
It bends with current, tide and weather. The anchorages and the order shift; the sites listed are the intent.
Can we book a cabin rather than the boat?
Shared departures run on the 3D2N. The 4D3N is offered as a whole-boat charter.
